Police attend an address on Jade Ave in Pakuranga Heights after a person was critically injured.
One person has been rushed to hospital with critical injuries after a reported stabbing in Pakuranga Heights this afternoon.
A man turned up at a random address on Jade Ave with stab wounds.
The man living at the property told the Herald he was working in his garage when “this guy ripped into my driveway saying he had been stabbed”.
St John said they were called to Jade Ave at 3.45pm on Friday.
Two rapid response units and one ambulance were scrambled to the scene. One person was taken to Middlemore Hospital.
The resident who saw the victim said: “I was pretty concerned that there was a guy that I didn’t know in the f***ing driveway looking angry.”
The resident said he armed himself with a hammer, concerned he may have been in danger.
“I walked around the driveway with a hammer, and then he [the victim] lifted up his shirt and went, ‘I’ve been stabbed’.”
The resident phoned St John but said the victim struggled to speak to paramedics.
A Jade Ave resident told the Herald police had cordoned off the street after a reported stabbing.
Police told the Herald they were making inquiries after a man turned up injured outside a home in Pakuranga Heights.
“Inquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of what has occurred,” a spokesperson said.
